The Circle of the Elders

The internal teaching and oversight Order within This Grace Bible Churches.

One Order, three names

The Circle of the Elders, the Order, and the Praeceptorium refer to the same internal body within TGBC. Praeceptorium names the Order. It serves sound doctrine, teaching, and oversight under TGBC's governing documents.

Its foremost judgment

Fidelity to the Gospel of Christ in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJB, sound doctrine, the King James Bible, and Pauline Dispensational Doctrine is the first governing criterion of the Order. It must not depart from these foundations or attempt to change or supposedly correct the KJB through Greek or Hebrew.

The Praeceptorius

Within the Circle of the Elders, Praeceptorius is Bishop Wesley Ray's exclusive personal bishop title. He is the original and sole Praeceptorius. Within This Grace Bible Churches, he is known as the Founding Bishop.

Membership, temporary appointment, incapacity, death, and succession do not transfer this title. It does not create a third ordained office.

Admission and continuity

A qualified bishop or elder is not automatically a member of the Circle. Express admission is required. Deacons do not receive Circle membership through their office. Existing appointment, incapacity, and succession procedures govern continuity; a website description does not appoint anyone.

The Gospel of Christ · 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 KJB

Christ died for our sins.
He was buried.
He rose again the third day.

Salvation is by grace through faith in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ. Trust His death for your sins, His burial, and His resurrection.

Religious membership, water baptism, giving, and works cannot earn salvation.

1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.Ephesians 2:8-9 KJB
